    The Role

We are excited to bring eager, talented students on board and provide them with an unparalleled internship experience.  The Entegris Intership Program consists of real work experience, cross-functional learning and development opportunities, and a variety of social and volunteeering events.

As a Product Design Intern, you will work closely with a Sr. Principal Product Engineer and collaborate with other engineers within the global Advanced Materials Handling Division of Entegris. During this internship, you will focus on the conceptualization of new purge systems for our FOUP product platform. This internship requires a mixture of simulation and product design abilities.

The AMH Division focus is on the development of wafer transport and processing products used by integrated device makers (IDMs), original equipment makers (OEMs), and wafer growers in the semiconductor industry.  Our customers demand high quality, consistent, reliable, and clean products to produce high tech devices.

    In this role you will

    • Participate as a member of a project team consisting of Product Design and Test Engineers
    • Plan, model, simulate and test purge concepts for our FOUP product line
    • Construct prototype samples for empirical validation testing
    • Recommend product performance and qualification test parameters
    • Interpret, document, report and present interim and final engineering analysis

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • Knowledge of mechanics of materials and basic fluid mechanics
    • 3D CAD design (SolidWorks or Pro-Engineer preferred)
    • Experience with and/or knowledge of finite element analysis is a plus
    • Desired Major: Mechanical engineering
    • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2019 or later.
