    The Role

    • Assuring that products being manufactured and shipped to customers meet Quality requirements
    • Ensuring that personnel who are producing parts are trained properly and inspecting parts or monitoring processes in accordance with requirement
    • Ensuring that metrology is calibrated at specified intervals and is functioning correctly

    In this role you will

    • Responsible for maintaining all plant wide Inspection Measurement & Test Equipment (IM&TE) calibration schedules and service agreements with vendors under some supervision.
    • Responsible for generating First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Certificate of Conformances (C of C’s) and Certificates of Dimensional inspections (C of D’s) as required by customers with some supervision.
    • Responsible for performing internal verification audits in various manufacturing departments.
    • May be called upon to assist Quality Engineers with investigative, Root Cause, Corrective and Preventative Actions related tasks and pre-shipment inspections with some supervision.
    • Responsible for assisting incoming inspections of vendor/supplier products that are part of any POCO manufactured products

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • Must have an aptitude for interpreting blue prints and sketches while using shop math. Experience with/knowledge in GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerance) is a plus.
    • Must be trainable in the use of M&TE including, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators and the operation of Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM’s).
    • Must have good communication skills both orally and in writing and must work well with others in a team environment.
    • Must be able to accept changes in work practices and methods as they pertain to or are results of continual improvement activities.
    • Must have good PC skills including proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Education: Prefer bachelor’s degree or 3 years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Physical: able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
