    The Role

    The co-op position is available in the liquid filtration division in Billerica, MA. The position will focus on performing experiments to evaluate liquid filtration products in our Application & Metrology Labs. Furthermore, this position includes the research and development of new testing method to evaluate different filter materials for cleanliness and study the membrane-particle interaction mechanism. The Co-op will gain valuable experience in semi-conductor filter testing while being given a developmental opportunity in an industrial setting.

    In this role you will

    • Conduct filtration experiments and test the sample using ICP-MS, Flourescence spectrometer, AFM, FTIR, and Raman tools
    • Design the experiment under direction of a more senior scientist and establish new filter testing method to evaluate liquid filter’s performance in cleanliness and particle removal efficiency
    • Analyze the test results and provide recommendations for optimizing testing method.
    • Maintains accurate records and document the new testing method.

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • BS in chemical engineering or chemistry
    • Experience in handling chemicals, operating laboratory equipment, generating and manipulating data.
    • The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, and able to work well in a fast paced environment, demonstrate clear communication skills, and be motivated to learn.
    • Knowledge of nanoparticle basic is a plus.
