    The Role

    The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of equipment within the manufacturing facility including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting.

    In this role you will

    • Keep production equipment operating at optimum level by performs maintenance for all equipment related to manufacturing with advanced troubleshooting.
    • Repairs electric, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits as needed. Replaces defective components to restore proper operation of equipment and repairs mechanical systems. Makes modifications to equipment to achieve desired results. Demonstrates an understanding of the work order system.
    • Maintains a clean and safe work area. Wears required Personal Protective Equipment. Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures. 
    • Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor and identifies and corrects potential unsafe conditions.
    • Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned. 

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    High School Diploma and 7 years maintenance experience. Ability to operate forklift truck. Ability to read and understand maintenance instructions and prints, perform math computations and computer data entry. Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb a ladder up to 15 ft. and walk and stand during entire shift. Works in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.

     

    • Ability to wire and/or troubleshoot control panels and electrical circuits using schematics
    • Ability to plumb and or troubleshoot pneumatic/hydraulic circuits using schematics
    • Requires high degree of mechanical aptitude and creative problem solving
    • Requires self-motivation and self-direction
    • Troubleshoots complex problems
    • Injection/Blow Molding Machine Maintenance experience
    • Experience/coursework in electrical or electronics
