    The Role

    The Engineering Technician is responsible for production support in the manufacturing facility as well as supporting supply chain activity using semiconductor fabrication practices to produce differential pressure sensors. This role is essential in the maintenance of automated test equipment in the manufacturing facility as well as the Test Engineering laboratory. Additioanlly, the critical mission for the candidate in this role is to ensure that revenue generating manufacturing activities experience minimal downtime and continuous operation. Time should be spent diagnosing root cause of problems in complex electro-mechanical products in a production environment as well as driving continuous improvement in all areas of the organization.

    In this role you will

    • Achieve high level of yield in a sensor manufacturing environment by familiarizing oneself against extremely precise production processes
    • Diligent upkeep and maintenance of automated test equipment
    • Minimization of machine downtime to support production activities
    • Adherence to established process, continuous improvement of those processes

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • 2+ years’ experience in process development and support in a production environment.
    • 2 year Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Technician degree or related equivalent.
    • Flexibility - Part of this role will be working in a university laboratory setting  - (University of Minnesota) 
    • Experience in a laboratory/wet chemistry environment
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment using mechanical, electrical, and thermodynamic processes to meet desired product specification
    • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment a plus
    • Experience in a laboratory/Class 1000 clean environment a plus
    • Working with silicon wafers handling, photolithography, material deposition processes, use of chemicals(acids/bases/hazardous) in wafer clean processes a plus
    • Evaluating data using spreadsheet tools and documenting results in technical reports or presentations
