    The Role

    The logistics supervisor is responsible for day to day operations of the external North America 3PL Distribution Centers (DC) ensuring that safety, quality, cost efficiency and on time delivery goals are attained.  This position effectively drives the daily execution against all core KPI’s driving continuous improvement for service quality standards and cost. 

    In this role you will

    • Responsible for supervision of all 3PL DC activities including receiving products from supplying plants, outside vendors, warehouse management, inventory control and shipping of products to internal & external customers.
    • Ensure flawless execution and prioritization of finished product distribution by working closely with all internal and external cross functional stakeholders, including all internal functions and all 3PL partners
    • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with key 3PL personnel involved in or directly relevant to logistics activities providing leadership and technical support to team members.
    • Collects, compiles and prepares data for standard and customized daily, weekly and monthly reports for 3PL analytics to continuously evaluate and improve 3PL performance and efficiency.
    • Lead cost savings plans with 3PL partners & internal stakeholders
    • Handle all internal & external Quality Notification complaints in regards to shipment deviations, damage, and errors
    • Develop, propose & explain solutions to management
    • Maintain and evaluate direct & indirect employee training records and progress
    • Provide on-site or remote support as needed during financial audits of inventory at 3PL locations
    • Review and allocate all 3PL invoices to SAP PO’s working with accounts payable to arrange payments
    • Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned by manager.
    • Ability to travel as needed to visit 3PL distribution centers in North America
    • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management and shipping/receiving supervision in a medium or large sized company is required
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing 3PL and import/export freight
    • A thorough understanding of Order Fulfillment DC Operations to include Receiving, Inventory Control, Picking, Packing, and Shipping in an RF environment
    • Good understanding of quality systems & standards
    • Must be capable of working independently with little to no supervision, have strong human relation skills to lead others and be able to handle stressful situations
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
    • SAP ERP System Experience Required
    • Strong computer literacy
