    The Role

    ENTEGRIS is seeking a Quality Engineer to support multiple ENTEGRIS product families by applying quality engineering tools to continually improve products and processes in a variety of manufacturing and business environments. This individual will have an opportunity to collaborate with cross functional departments and influence quality best practices. This position also requires the ability to build relationships internally throughout the organization, externally with contract manufacturers and suppliers, as well as with our customers.  This individual will effectively utilize quality tools to solve problems reactively, prevent problems proactively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that the voice of the customer is integrated into our plant operations, contract manufacturing operations and suppliers.

     

    Qualified candidates will have appropriate technical acumen to assist and instruct ENTEGRIS’s suppliers in order to meet or surpass supplier requirements and expectations. Some experience in project management, manufacturing operations with special emphasis on lean manufacturing allied with six sigma and product realization are desirable.

    In this role you will

    • Assist with product quality requirements and manage product processes through both internal and external manufacturing locations;
    • Work internally with key suppliers to improve and maintain performance to minimize risk to ENTEGRIS and its customers as the quality representative to the Supplier Management Team (SMT);
    • Proactively identify and assure implementation and completion of continuous improvement plans (CIPs) with ENTEGRIS suppliers;
    • Creation and review of quarterly Statistical Quality Control (SQC) to determine areas for product and process capability improvements;
    • Manage the effectiveness of supplier root cause analysis and resolution using appropriate metrics and feedback;
    • Lead and teach/coach both internal personnel and suppliers using professional expertise and experience to improve process/product quality;
    • Ensure that manufacturing processes are in a state of control using SPC techniques
    • Partner with sales, marketing and customers to get the Voice of the Customer (VOC) as it relates to processes and systems associated with product quality and service to customers;
    • Responsible for quality deliverable for new product introduction;

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in technical field, chemical / gas engineering or chemistry preferred
    • Quality engineer certification preferred
    • Six Sigma certification preferred
    • Experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA’s, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solving methodology required;
    • Experience with statistical methods (SPC, SQC, etc.);
    • Knowledge of requirements associated with the ISO 9000, TS 16949, and GMP standards;
    • Experience working with QMS systems and participating in quality CIP project and tracking them

    Your success will be measured by

    • Interface with ENTEGRIS supply chain, engineering and production teams to establish product quality requirements and manage product processes through both internal and external manufacturing locations;
    • Working with the plant management to create and review quarterly metrics to determine areas for product and process capability improvements;
    • As a team member this person will be tasked with providing inputs to both internal personnel and suppliers using professional expertise and experience to improve process/product quality;
    • Partner with sales, marketing and customers to get the Voice of the Customer (VOC) as it relates to processes and systems associated with product quality and service to customers;
