    The Role

    The New Product Introduction Engineer is responsible for the successful transition of products from Development to Manufacturing utilizing a Stage Gate Process. This position will influence product design teams to improve design for manufacturability, while ensuring the highest levels of quality. Achieving this goal will require the use of collaboration, influence, and individual contributor skills to interface with all functions across the organization.

    In this role you will

    • Serve as a core team member for assigned NPI Projects as the liaison between Product Engineering and Operations, pulling products to market.
    • Work closely with Product Engineering to proactively influence designs for better manufacturability.
    • Review and/or Prepare BOM’s, Routings, and Process Documentation to support Product Launch.
    • Manage customer samples and VNQ builds. Provide special instructions to operators as required.
    • Assess Manufacturing Readiness, including identification of gaps needing closure.
    • Drive Improvement Projects (yield, process capability, etc.) to maximize Gross Margin and Predictability.
    • Assist Manufacturing in assessment of plant capacity for new products and development of Manufacturing Plans for assigned projects.
    • Perform administrative functions such as writing status reports, expenditures and other documentation.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

    • Excellent documentation, communication, and technical writing skills required.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Project Management Skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point.
    • Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Manufacturing projects and implementation.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the broader organization, and how this role fits into the strategic plan and overall direction.
    • Orchestrate and prioritize multiple activities at once to accomplish Company goals.
    • Bachelor degree and minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience. Materials/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Degree Preferred.
    • Lean or Six Sigma Training and/or Certification a Plus
    • Some travel (domestic & international) should be expected.
