    The Role

    Responsible for driving the product development efforts of the engineering teams by conceiving, analyzing and developing new design concepts for and coordinating the process with R&D and Manufacturing Departments for Entegris Gas Filter group. The Mechanical Engineer should also be familiar and comfortable with machining, high purity semiconductor environments and able to easily learn and understand newer technologies. Design and layout product formats to satisfy the requirements and support improvement initiatives of existing and new products. Work with domestic and international company resources and vendors to move designs from prototype to production.

    In this role you will

    Analysis and Testing 

    Oversee and conduct analysis and testing to insure that new products meet all appropriate mechanical requirements. This position will aid in analyzing design concepts in regards to reliability, manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and performance. Perform mathematical computations, create computer models and assemblies for the purpose of computer analysis and engineering simulation. Assist in appropriate testing of prototype products. Familiarity with data acquisition and process instrumentation a plus.


    Provides work direction to and mentors CAD Technicians. This position will review the technical accuracy of drawings and revisions made by CAD Technicians. He/she will works with material vendors to identify materials for products in design having specific chemical and mechanical properties. Establish requirements for materials, specifications, and product performance.

    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, Physical Requirements):

    • BS in Mechanical Engineering along with directly related experience
    • 2-5 years of hands on product design experience
    • Experience with Solidworks
    • Knowledge of machine processes
    • A proven track record of bringing new products into Manufacturing with successful market launches
    • Experience with sensors and sensing devices
    • Experience in high volume manufacturing desirable
    • Knowledge in semiconductor hardware and systems desirable
    • Ability to coordinate projects including project analyses and reporting
    • Ability to report information professionally, effectively, in a structured and concise format
    • Must be able to thrive in a team oriented environment with the ability to communicate effectively with the team
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent overall computer and software skills/knowledge
    • Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Quick learner, open and able to adapt with new tasks and processes
    • Skilled in ideation processes, abstract design concepts and computer modeling or layouts
    • Experience / Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma philosophies a plus
    • Experienced in performing design FMEA and process FMEA a plus
