The Role

The System Controls Engineer will play an integral role in the integration of PLC controls, data collection as well as the design of the user interface for the success of new products. You will work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment to scale up larger capacity, robust systems designed with the end-user in mind.  You are adept at seeing ‘the big picture’, and understand how to design, spec and install automated systems that will take Entegris to the next level of success.

In this role you will

  • Detailed control system specifications with component layout;
  • PLC control systems built per specifications by an external controls shop with electrical schematic drawings and bill of materials (BOM);
  • Manage multiple, high-profile projects on time, on budget while executing on plant reliability and sustainability;
  • Safe, reliable, automated or semi-automated PLC control system and sequence to operate specific chemical processes;
  • Troubleshooting and proactively fixing issues or improvements with existing Allen Bradley or Omron PLC control systems.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

  • Electrical Engineer or applicable degree;
  • Chemical manufacturing or semiconductor experience;
  • Experience in PLC / HMI programming on both Allen Bradley or Omron;
  • Experience with Allen Bradly RSView32, Panelbuilder32, FactoryTalk View, TSLogix and RSLlnx programming packages;
  • Knowledge and experience with AC/DC power distribution, controls/pneumatics, cabinet designs and layouts including electrical schematics;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Ability to work cross functionally while completing tasks with firm deadlines.
