    The Role

    The summer intern position is available at the Entegris Specialty Coatings (ESC) division at the i2M Center for Advanced Material Science in Bedford, MA. The summer intern will perform updates and reviews of manufacturing documentation as well as specification review and updates.  This position may also need to update part and fixture prints as well.  Additional tasks may include the active participation in projects related to new PVD, CVD, or other advanced coatings transition from development to manufacturing.

    In this role you will

    Review, correct and update existing manufacturing work instructions.  Transition work instructions to standard operations sheets (SOS).  Review, correct and update material and product specifications.  Work as part of a team for process improvement.  Possible drafting and design work as well depending on experience.



    • Review work instructions for correctness and update as needed
    • Specification review for correctness and update as needed
    • Transition of work instructions to SOS for production
    • Review of equipment, product, tooling and fixturing prints, sketches and other related documents
    • Provides daily feedback on progress of assigned tasks
    • Ability to commuicate well and work in a team environment
    • Maintain accurate records and files of completed work assigned
    • Schedules work to comply with ESC priority needs.

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • College student with a focus on industrial and mechanical engineering or technical writing
    • Knowledge and use of Microsoft office suite – Word, Excel etc…
    • Above average writing skills
    • Working as part of a team
    • Knowledge and use of Solidworks or AutoCAD is a Plus
