The Role

Entegris is seeking a Technology Manager, in Chemical Vapor Deposition and Engineered Materials who will have tremendous visibility within the company, leading efforts to provide solutions to our customers’ most challenging requirements and sell new opportunities.


This role requires technical selling skills for all products, providing leadership for new launches, commercialization efforts and guidance for technical support of Entegris’ Ion Implant and CVD process solutions in Japan.


In this role you will

  • Serve as the CVD & EM technical and applications expert for end user solutions development supporting Japan;
  • Establish intimate customer relationships to become the “Go To” technical resource CVD & EM technology for the region;
  • Create plans and actions to drive revenue and share growth for Entegris’ Ion Implant and CVD process solutions in Japan;
  • Work with the account managers to identify, develop, and prioritize the opportunities using Entegris value selling process to lead discovery and advocating phases of the selling process.
  • Support account managers on product presentations and technical discussions;
  • Own customer evaluations to ensure sharp execution so benefits of the results are aligned with customer buying motives and presented in a professional manner;
  • Ensure/ provide the right level of technical and application support during customer qualifications;
  • Maintain customer installed Ion Implant Tool and Entegris product database;
  • Conduct regular reviews with customers to understand their ongoing needs and work with account managers to arrive at an account management plan;
  • Train customers and fellow colleagues on relevant process solutions knowledge;
  • Take ownership of product positioning and life cycle management to maintain market share;
  • Participate in regular business review meetings with the Ion Implant leadership team and represent the region / platform in both local and global opportunity reviews;
  • Drive, participate and advise technical oriented roadmap customer discussions;
  • Work with other functional teams such as account managers, supply chain, quality, etc. to support customers’ requirements and operations;
  • 50% travel within Japan and occasionally to other global locations may be necessary to support account managers

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent technical field required; Master’s degree is a plus;
  • 10 years or more of experience as CVD, PVD process engineer in a wafer fab environment or in a CVD process equipment company;
  • Experience with precursors high purity Gas Delivery Systems as well as CVD, PVD equipment engineering;
  • Sales/management experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present technical presentations.
  • High level of English skills;
