    The Role

    The Engineering Applications Manager (CAD/CAM) has responsibility for working across all Entegris’ sites and partners, to lead the planning, design configuration and implementation of Entegris’ NPD applications in support of core organizational functions and processes. You will provide leadership and collaborate with peers and vendors to develop and coordinate strategy, architecture landscapes, roadmaps, budget, and execution of IT application services. Additional responsibilities include working with Entegris’ leaders to align technology acquisitions and enhancements with business objectives and strategies. 

    In this role you will

    • Guide the development of staff members, including setting objectives, coaching, and delivering performance reviews
    • Drive system consolidation where possible and keep system footprint manageable and cost-effective
    • Apply broad industry and enterprise knowledge to identify solutions and maintain an application development roadmap that supports Entegris’ Global strategic and operational business goals
    • Review business process and/or technical designs to validate appropriate use of technology
    • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of all enterprise systems
    • Ensure successful completion of all Engineering Applications projects by managing scope, approach, work plan, internal and 3rd party resources, technology vendors and risks
    • Continually review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
    • Review software contracts, professional service contracts and application maintenance renewals to ensure appropriate protections are included and costs optimized.
    • Develop and maintain annual operating and capital budgets
    • Exercise appropriate financial stewardship and makes necessary financial decisions that support the IT Department and Entegris
    • Maintain and manage all application software and service contracts
    • Develop and maintain business relationships with key application and service vendors; review and renegotiate agreements as needed to ensure responsive and cost-effective software support
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, system and change-control

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • Minimum 10+ years of industry experience in a global organization with 7+ years’ experience at a Manager level
    • Experience successfully designing, implementing and supporting CAD/CAM/CAE applications using multiple delivery methodologies (SolidWorks, EPDM, ANSYS, MasterCAM)
    • Proven ability to execute swiftly without compromising quality
    • Demonstrated ability to manage resources, timelines and deliverables in a cross-matrixed environment including internal and third-party resources
    • Influences across the organization, effectively leading change, originating ideas, and championing and gaining commitment
    • Experience influencing senior business and IT stakeholders
    • Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications
    • Experience presenting to senior IT and business stakeholders
    • Strong analytic and big picture capabilities in problem solving approaches
    • Ability to establish and manage priorities in a global environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills: articulate and effective communicator and presenter, able to describe complex problems and solutions in simple or understandable terms
    • Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree desired 
    • Background in engineering a plus

    • Developing and maintaining business relationships with key application and service vendors; review and renegotiate agreements as needed to ensure responsive and cost-effective software support
    • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, system and change-control
    • Demonstrate ability to set direction and drive a development team
    • Engaging and developing relationships with leaders across the global organization to understand functional business requirements and identify opportunities to introduce new technology solutions
    • Developing, motivating, and directing staff to create a highly productive team and provide global application support
