The Role

Reporting to the R&D Manager, the Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting product development activities within the Specialty Gas Business Unit. This will be a hands-on assignment that will provide the intern with an opportunity to further their fundamental engineering skills as well.

In this role you will

  • Participate in an engineering project to build manufacturing capacity for a key new product
  • Specify equipment, such as pumps and analytical instruments, to meet the process requirements
  • Ensure complete process and process documentation is in place prior to commissioning
  • Support the engineering team to perform qualification testing to verify that the new process is capable of producing products that are within specification
  • Utilize engineering principles to ensure that designs exceed all safety targets

  • Actively pursuing a Chemical or Engineering degree
  • Demonstrated communication and organization skills
  • Desire to be “hands-on” and work in a team environment
