    The Role

    Entegris has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer who will support operations within our Specialty Gas business unit in Danbury, CT.  The engineer will work in a fast paced, high energy and professionally rewarding environment where the core of the product line is a family of patented safe gas packages and specialty materials.  

    In this role you will

    • Support current systems and processes for Specialty Gas Products. This will include monitoring process health and investigating deviations, authoring and maintaining process documentation, and leading continuous improvement and optimization initiatives;
    • Lead the technology transfer from new product development to manufacturing working with a cross functional team that includes R&D, Marketing, and Quality. This may include designing of new equipment, managing a capital budget, and driving installation and commissioning;
    • Investigate product or process failures and abnormalities, determine root cause, build corrective action plan and drive that plan to completion. This may include doing hands-on testing with toxic or dangerous materials;

    Traits we believe make a strong candidate

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with experience in a manufacturing setting;
    • Gas handling experience desired;
    • Ability to use Statistical Process Control, DOE, and Lean/Six sigma concepts to monitor and improve a manufacturing process;
    • Proficiency in managing multiple projects in an ISO/GMP environment;
    • Experience using MES systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
    • Ability for global travel up to 10% based on business need.

    • Completion of critical projects in a manner that satisfies the customer (internal or external) within the agreed upon timeline and budget;

    • Collaboration with team members within the Manufacturing Engineering team as well as with Quality, Product management, and Planning;
