The Role

Our team is looking for a dynamic, flexible Engineer that will be responsible for supporting the manufacture of a broad range of liquid filtration & purification products used in the fabrication of semiconductors.

With the fast pace of innovations in semiconductors, you must be able to drive process efficiency, predictability, and capability improvements. You will look forward to managing multiple complex projects through the use of Statistical Process Control, Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies, and through development and implementation of innovative solutions to solve causes for product and process variation.

As part of Entegris’ Manufacturing Operations team, the Process Engineer will work closely with the production cell team, drive initiatives to reduce scrap and rework levels, eliminate waste, improve overall efficiency, and ensure quality and safety are built into processes at every step.

In this role you will

  • Maintain presence in the cleanroom manufacturing area to provide sustaining manufacturing support. Resolves day to day production issues. Drives issues to root cause.
  • Ramp, sustain and continuously improve new product lines. 
  • Develop, lead and implement projects which improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives of on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc.
  • Routinely works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and valuation criteria for obtaining results. 
  • Lead teams and implement projects through continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma with hands-on application - engaging floor practitioner.
  • Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information and develop and implement process solutions.
  • Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures. Assists with analyses and audits on processes in order to make recommendations on items such as safety, quality, cost, waste reduction, and efficiency. 
  • Identify, test and recommend opportunities to improve legacy processes without violating change control requirements expected in the semiconductor market.
  • Understand the broader organization, and how this role fits into the strategic plan and overall direction.
  • Take the initiative to look for and take advantage of opportunities and take independent actions and calculated risks. 
  • Demonstrate ability to drive and report metrics. Perform administrative functions such as writing monthly status reports, expenditures and other documentation.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

  • Minimally a Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline; Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical or Industrial engineering.
  • Minimally 3 years of experience in manufacturing with demonstrated success in sustaining, yield improvement and rework/waste reduction.
  • Ability to understand and interpret data. Implement and utilize SPC. Minitab knowledge is a plus.
  • Embraces and drives change.
  • SAP skills a plus.
  • Experience with cleanroom facilities is beneficial. 
  • Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills. Must have ability to reach out, communicate and influence personnel at all levels within the organization.
