The Role

Entegris is seeking a Product Manager for the Surface Preparation and Integration Business Unit within the Specialty Chemicals and Electronic Materials Division.  This position supports the CMP consumable (pad conditioners, and post-CMP cleans) need for semiconductor, consumer electronics and related industries. The CMP CVD conditioners and Post CMP cleans are key consumables used in the manufacturing of advanced chip design. The CMP segment markets key products including Planargem®, Planarcore®, and Planarclean® families for advanced CMP processes.  This role can be located in Billerica, MA or Danbury, CT. 

In this role you will

  • P&L responsibility for assigned set of products within the CMP Products platform;
  • Determine commercial, technical, and operational strategies to develop CMP Products business within targeted regions; 
  • Extract and develop market intelligence to help define these product strategies;
  • Collaborate externally and internally with customers, OEMs, sales, R&D, applications engineering, finance and marketing to accomplish Entegris’ strategic goals;
  • Prioritize competing projects and translate customer requirements into clear deliverables and metrics for success;
  • Manage products through the Product Lifecycle from project definition to horizon planning;

New Product Introduction (NPI):

  • Explore market demand/trend and identify new ideas for potential product solutions;
  • Clearly define market-based product specifications required to address and meet market specification definition;
  • Champion new product development teams consisting of development engineers, supply chain and manufacturing personnel within specified timeline and budget parameters;
  • Partner with account teams and finance to manage pricing strategies to meet company financial objectives;
  • Develop promotion and penetration plans;
  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders educating all employees of new product offerings;

Current Platform Products:

  • Define / refine product positioning and selling strategy;
  • Maintain and improve market shares through penetration to new areas (customers, applications, markets etc.);
  • Deliver well defined product plans which define opportunities for revenue growth and/or margin improvement;
  • Coordinate needs for product improvements with R&D / Engineering, manage change through the system and communicate to the market;
  • Determine product service levels; Coordinate the efforts for operational efficiency/purchasing strategy to improve margins.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/ chemistry, biology, and material science. MS in related discipline or MBA preferred;
  • Experience working in related technical area or academic equivalent;
  • Knowledge of CMP processes, and other semiconductor wet chemical processes would be beneficial but not required;
  • Experience in sales, marketing and/or applications in the semiconductor industry is preferred;
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills; 
  • Experience in preparing project proposals, plans, schedules and budgets, as well as detailed reports and presentations;
  • Ability to travel 10% worldwide.
