The Role

Entegris is seeking a new design engineer for liquid filter products. The location is in Tokyo.

This role will be to create new design of plastic mold components and filter assemblies with considering device assembling method and capabilities. And it will be expected to understand system and then conduct new product development project from the cradle to grave at the technical standpoint in the future.

In this role you will

  • Creating new design component parts or new filter device structure for next generation products in photo application.
  • Applying for a new patent.
  • Communicating with mold designer or machining vendor
  • Making trial sample or machined sample for internal evaluation with PDE
  • Communication with a customer at the technical standpoint.
  • Project leading at the technical standpoint.
  • Leading junior engineers as a senior engineer.


Traits we believe make a strong candidate

Successful candidates will typically have the following skill set:

  • Operation skill for 2D/3D CAD
  • Basic knowledge as a mechanical engineers.
  • Experience of plastic molded parts design.
  • Basis knowledge of Engineering plastics like a PE, PP and Fluoro polymers
  • English skills of reading and writing. Daily English communication by e-mail is mandatory.
  • Basic level English conversation skills.
  • Summarizing engineering data correctly and figure out the conclusion logically.
  • Presentation skill.
  • Interest toward new things and enhancing own abilities.
  • Proactive communication with other employees.
  • Experience of CFD/FEM operation (Option)
  • Basic knowledge of quality engineering (Option)
  • Experience of Minitab operation (Option)
  • Experience of project management (Option).
  • Experience of team leader (Option).
