Overview

Entegris is seeking a Product Engineer to support the products within our Specialty Gas business.  The core of the product line is a family of patented safe gas packages and specialty materials.  The engineer is responsible for leading continuous improvement activities and will be an active member of new product development projects.  This role is located in the Danbury, CT facility.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a key team member on new product development programs;
  • Support new product extension programs as part of a cross-functional team;
  • Work with Manufacturing to ensure products are manufacturable, meet quality standards and cost targets;
  • React responsively to technical requests from internal and external customers;
  • Assess the technical feasibility of design concepts through testing, theoretical calculations and simulations;
  • Develop and perform experimental test plans;
  • Generate and document drawings for new products and product extensions;
  • Generate and complete Engineering Change Orders (ECOs);
  • Write work instructions and technical reports;
  • Support Quality, Marketing, Sales, and Operations on technical issues associated with released products and develop project plans as needed;
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Strong technical aptitude with a desire for hands on engineering work;
  • Ability to work in a team environment while taking direct ownerships of projects/tasks;
  • Preferred background in handling toxic gases, gas mixtures and gas packaging within the electronic gas industry but not required.
