Must have good aptitude to work in a precision machine shop or quality lab/testing environment.
Should have a sound understanding in interpreting shop blueprints and sketches.
Must be proficient in shop mathematics including trigonometry. Must have experience using shop M&TE including, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators and the operation of Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM’s).
Must have good communication skills both orally and in writing and must work well with others in a team environment.
Must be able to accept changes in work practices and methods as they pertain to or are a result to continual improvements activities.
Must have good PC skills including proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
•Responsible for maintaining all plant wide Inspection Measurement & Test Equipment (IM&TE) calibration schedules and service agreements with vendors with minimal supervision.
•Responsible for generating First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Certificate of Conformances (C of C’s) and Certificates of Dimensional inspections (C of D’s) as required by customers with minimal supervision.
•Responsible for conducting internal verification audits in various manufacturing departments with minimal supervision.
•Will work with Quality Engineers with investigative, Root Cause, Corrective and Preventative Actions related tasks and pre-shipment inspections tasks with minimal supervision.
•Responsible for conducting incoming inspections of vendor/supplier products that are part of any POCO manufactured products with minimal supervision.
•Reports directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor for assignments, direction and reviews.
Education: minimum of high school education or GED equivalency. Prefer associates or bachelors degree.
Experience: 3 plus years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
Physical: able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Communication: able to clearly communicate within team and with other departments.
