Purchase products and services that meet specification(s) and support customer demand.  Effectively source, audit and evaluate supplier capability and performance, and take necessary actions to support manufacturing operations and meet customers’ needs.  Effectively manage supplier relationships.


  • Monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned supply chain responsibilities to assure best quality and value.
  • Obtain materials and services from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements, reliability of source and urgency of need.
  • Conduct supplier communication to effectively manage purchase orders, contracts and agreements, schedule’ needs, and invoice issues.
  • Represent Purchasing on project teams to assure early supplier involvement in design and development of project team requirements. Assist with the development of processes to improve supplier quality and dependability, and support organization-wide continuous improvement efforts.
  • Determine delivery and quantity needs; ensure on-time delivery of supplier products and services. Maintain appropriate quantities, safety stocks and deliveries to support inventory objectives.  Participate in MRB for rejected material disposition.  Analyze and provide disposition of excess and obsolete inventory for assigned commodities.
  • Assign and process internal Stock Transfer Order requisitions with other Entegris’ facilities to meet delivery requirements.   
  • Develop and maintain necessary records and documentation in compliance with ISO system requirements. Process MRP exception lists, manage subcontract purchases, and manage agreements for multi-plant purchases.
  • Completes other duties as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.

Other Responsibilities and Duties may include:


  • Multi-site operational requirements and management of multiple product types.
  • New product introduction support; interaction with Engineering, R & D, and Accounting.
  • Purchasing of indirect materials and services as needed.
  • Implementation of effective inventory replenishment processes (i.e. Kanban, etc.)


Essential Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and a minimum of 5 – 7 years of purchasing and planning experience in a manufacturing environment.  Ability to read and understand work instructions and blue prints.  Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and presentation software.  Demonstrated skills in communication with internal and external customers and suppliers.  


Preferred qualifications:  Purchasing experience using SAP software; APICS or ISM certifications.
