Overview

Entegris is seeking an Engineering Technician to expand our new product development group, working closely with our Advisory Chemists and with other senior members of the team. This person will have an opportunity to broaden their technical skill set, participate on a dynamic team in a growing organization, support new product development, and product release.  This is a great chance to get hands-on experience in a dynamic, global environment, as well as for you to demonstrate your drive and innovation.  This position is located at Entegris Burnet, Texas facility.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with Planning on order fulfillment activities;
  • Runs pilot scale distillations, operates chemical reactions and samples chemicals;
  • Performs operations maintenance including PM, ordering supplies, cleanup and waste disposal;
  • Delivers low volume products on-time;
  • Works safely and ensures the safety of co-workers, while striving for zero safety incidents;
  • Assembles and installs equipment in support of new product development capital projects;
  • Assists with equipment performance improvement for thermal analyses and chemical characterization;
  • Partners with engineering to develop daily check sheets, work instructions, and safety reviews for analytical equipment;
  • Collects data to support new product development projects;
  • Makes recommendations and implements changes to continually improve efficiency;
  • Assists senior technologists in scale-up activities for new products.

Qualifications

 

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with Chemical manufacturing experience preferred;
  • Experience with SAP and ETQ a plus;
  • Lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs. and wearing all appropriate PPE;
  • Flexible, able to rapidly respond to new situations and to perform multiple tasks;
  • Creative/innovative thinker and observer - quickly assess problems and implement responses;
  • Team player attitude with a desire for excellence and continuous improvement.
