Overview

Entegris is seeking a Business Development Technologist (DBT) for our China Microcontamination Division to grow our Gas filtration & Gas purification business.  This is a customer facing technical position and will be primarily focused on filtration/purification solutions for our IDM gas infra and Gas plant customers for Semiconductor manufacturing & FPD manufacturing . The BDT position is the technical “face of Entegris” and will coordinate internally with Market Segment Leaders, Product Management, Applications, Sales and others to provide data driven filter solutions.  The ideal candidate will have a technical degree with knowledge & experience in Gas filtration/purification from Gas supply system for Semiconductor manufacturing, Gas infrastructure in IDMs. 

 

The Gas Filtration/Purification Business Unit has research and development, applications capability, analytical labs and manufacturing facilities in the Taiwan, Korea, Japan and US and provides local support to customers around the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Visit customers with the Account Manager on major projects, topics that require a stronger technical approach and crisis resolution to facilitate Sales’ role.
  • Work closely with key customers to identify and understand their key process, products/solution needs and the technical trends;
  • Assist region sales people in building and maintaining relationship with key decision makers;
  • Be technical advisor to the selling operation on market/product issues, coordination of related technical projects;
  • Identify training needs within the selling operation and implement action either personally or via the corporate training group;
  • Digest industry’s vocabulary and train organization;
  • Act as a point of reference for product attributes and performance, product availability for a specific application or retrofit and long lists of competitive products to dislodge (through audits/tenders or lists provided by engineers/purchasers);
  • Take the lead in resolving/application issues in China area, manage product change notices and technical advisor within the Region, as directed by the BU;
  • Work with product management to implement new product introductions and product obsolescence;
  • Working with product management will assist in identifying the right products for the right applications;
  • Provide input to Product Development Process (e-PDP); Analyze and updates competitive threats.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Engineering, or highly related field;
  • Related Semiconductor engineer experience; or combination of training and experience; or a demonstrated capability to perform the duties of the job;
  • Experience of WEC process of IDM or Bulk chemical manufacturing for Semi/FPD
  • Capable traveling with an independent work capabilities;
  • Excellent communication planning, organizational and leadership skills;
  • Ability to adapt to work environment, work force, and customers’ needs;
  • Proven track record delivering results;
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with all levels of the organization;
  • Expertise in fostering a work environment characterized by "possibility thinking," motivation, accountability, open communication and effective teamwork;
  • Confidence to challenge the "status quo" and lead change in the organization;
  • Ability to meet challenging timelines and work in a constantly changing environment.
