Overview

Entegris is seeking a Business Development Technologist for our U.S. Microcontamination Division to grow our liquid filtration business.  This is a customer facing technical position and will be primarily focused on filtration solutions for our CMP customers (bulk slurry manufacturers & device makers).  Additional filter related responsibilities will include WEC, Photolithography, DIW, etc.  The BDT position is the technical “face of Entegris” and will coordinate internally with Market Segment Leaders, Product Management, Applications, Sales and others to provide data driven filter solutions.  The ideal candidate will have a technical degree with knowledge & experience in CMP slurries, CMP applications, filtration, and technical sales or customer service experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the sales organization, business unit, and distributor network to schedule F2F customer meetings to align with strategic sales initiatives to grow Entegris’ filtration marketshare and revenue, primarily in CMP applications
  • Operate in the field as a filtration product expert by developing & maintaining an exemplary knowledge of Entegris’ filtration products.
  • Build key customer relationships to identify business opportunities, define short & long-term strategic goals, and grow our business.
  • Analyze & interpret data, present technical content to a sophisticated and knowledgeable audience, address questions, and drive business opportunities to a conclusion.
  • Provide customer filtration recommendations & guidance through personal knowledge and coordination with Entegris technical resources.
  • Collect VOCs on critical technology requirements from strategic customers to understand their key processes, products, initiatives, challenges and needs, to enable Entegris to recommend appropriate filter solutions or product development path.
  • Understand corporate, division and field operations goals, and develop technology strategies to achieve prioritized sales objectives;
  • Develop & proactively drive technical aspects of product evaluations through the key milestones and deliverables by coordinating the customer and Entegris’ corporate resources.
  • Work with product management to implement new product campaigns and product obsolescence;
  • Analyze and updates competitive threats.
  • Utilize creative ways to deal with challenges, while providing guidance to Account Management, Product Management, and R&D.
  • Ability to travel 40-50%.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, Business Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Background in CMP slurry, CMP applications, CMP process engineering, etc…strongly preferred
  • General semiconductor engineering, process or applications experience a strong plus
  • Position requires excellent communications, planning, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills Ability to build relationships within a matrixed organization
  • Expertise in fostering a work environment characterized by "possibility thinking," motivation, accountability, open communication and effective teamwork
  • Confidence to challenge the "status quo" and lead change in the organization
