The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance to China user on site or remotely. You should have a problem-solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions with good communication. You should also be familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques.
Ultimately, you will ensure prompt and accurate customer service and increase client satisfaction.
Provides technical support to ensure effective hardware and software performance. Provides technical expertise in the installation and maintenance of hardware and systems software. Provides end user training when installing new equipment or software. Analyzes technical problems and recommends and applies required solutions. Develop trends by monitoring and analyzing incoming calls, problems and support requests.
Performs tasks to improve the efficiency, reliability, availability, and stability of the computing environment. Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and future planning needs of the company’s desktop environment. Completes tasks such as performance monitoring, tuning, and adjusting. Implements appropriate solutions to ensure that facilities and products are maintained and beneficial to users.
Maintains documentation to ensure efficient and accurate department operations. Develops and maintains hardware, software, and internal systems standards and procedures. Maintains internal knowledgebase by recording all user inquiries from initial IT Maintenance Request ticket to final resolution. Maintains asset records of all IT user hardware in the Entegris Asset Database to ensure ownership and tracking of all IT assets worldwide.
Participates in the planning and execution of departmental projects with other IT team members. Works and communicates well with management and team members in all international locations. Ensures that policies and standards determined by Corporate IT are enforced throughout the Greater China region.
Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Engineering or similar field
Moderate in English and Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
Prior Desktop support experience preferred
