The open position is for an entry level Process Development Engineer, who will be hands-on and working in a fast-paced Engineering and R&D team environment to develop and validate various electrostatic chuck fabrication processes. The team is responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating operational performance requirements of electrostatic chucks. The engineer is responsible for significant and complex prototyping work, have the capacity for follow through with minimal technical oversight.


  • Complete tasks and projects to support overall new product development within deadlines, under direct supervision.
  • Responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities including design, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype products, mechanical and electrical equipment, assemblies and components.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in design of new products, assist in analysis of product requirements, design feasibility and test reliability. Participate and assist in failure analysis.
  • Update and maintain documentation including process records, product description, standard work instructions, quality procedures, and test specifications etc.
  • Provide documentation such as written technical reports and drawing schematics etc. to internal management.
  • Support release of engineering products to manufacturing through training and documentation and other assigned activities.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement process and dedication to customer satisfaction.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • One to three years’ experience in a technical discipline applied to product development
  • Knowledge of Standard Engineering and Technology practices and procedures
  • Exposure to new product design and design for feasibility concepts
  • Strong hands-on technical aptitude and bench skills for prototype builds, test and qualification with mechanical and electronic tools, instruments and equipment
  • Strong troubleshoot skills and ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall R&D activities. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in vacuum equipment and components a plus
  • Experience with semiconductor fabrication process and equipment is advantageous
  • Ability to quickly understand elements of existing product designs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment; good interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written)
  • Hard working, self-driven and motivated
